DESIGNOSAUR - a winter term art project in Swanage for children at two first schools to celebrate their local area on the Jurassic coast and create artwork using natural elements such as shells and stones to create a new display of work in Swanage and at Durlston.

Art workshops, beachcombing and visits to Durlston Country Park helped them to explore their local environment; not only visually but using other senses such as taste and touch. This included a cookery demo by chef Nick Storer in the art of preparing and cooking local shellfish, with tasting and cleaning the shells...

This project was funded by Community Champions with support from Friends of Durlston.

ARTWARBLERS - an exploration of reed beds for two Weymouth primary schools, working with Portland based artist Sarah Gilpin, sculptor and the RSPB local group. Using natural materials from the reserve as starting points for creative activities both at school and at RSPB Radipole. Awards for All funded.

Spitsbergen - continuing the Incredible Journey - following the Barnacle geese to their summer nesting grounds, 78 degrees North. I was awarded an opportunity to work with the scientists at the NERC station at Ny Alesund to create new work for exhibitions later this year. UPDATE - some of the work I did on site...

Ice and Fire Art Club - an exploration of Iceland - Vikings and Volcanoes for pupils from two year groups at a primary school in Poole. We have linked with a group of children from the Mother Tongue Association in Reykjavik, Iceland to exchange pictures and words...

- a community art project in Swanage, Dorset for two local schools to create murals for the Stone Quay. 75 pupils are creating their own 'Postcard from Swanage' during painting workshops at the schools.
